Sihing Chris Balasa In 1991, I began my kung fu training at the Bei Wu Kung Fu Academy in Ventura, California. It was there that I first received instruction in Chu Ka, the royal family style, also known also as Southern Praying Mantis. Following my military service, the venerable Sifu again accepted me as his student and personally formulated a private and, dare I say, quite intense Five Animals / Hung Gar training curriculum. Today, under the watchful eye of Sifu Rodriguez, I continue to assist with the Five Animals / Hung Gar class. Like many students before me, I aspire to perhaps one day begin a new chapter of the Red Dragon Kung Fu chronicle. Oh, yeah....I'm also the guy responsible for this website. =)
