| Sifu Inducted into US Martial Arts Hall of Fame |
| We all know how
much of an amazing teacher Sifu Manuel Rodriguez is - that's why we keep coming
back day after day to participate in his often grueling training sessions.
After a few lessons, it's easy to see how gifted he is and what copious amounts
of knowledge he is willing to impart to those who are dedicated to learning.
For decades, Sifu Manuel has touched countless lives in the martial arts
community, and for his dedication to the arts, was recently inducted to the US
Martial Arts Hall of Fame in August 2005. Although many of his students could
not be there to watch his induction, he had full support of his extended kung
fu family. We are all honored to call him our Sifu. |

| WLF Fight - Competitors Honor ASW in China |
| Simply amazing.
It may not be saying much, but those two words sum it all up. With only six
weeks' to prepare for this event, four brave students of American Shaolin West
- Benjamin Lim, Scotty Logan and Omar Castillo, accompanied by
manager/alternate fighter Ken May - selflessly changed their schedules and
traveled to China to compete in the WLF, a professional Chinese fighting event
akin to Friday Night Boxing. Billed as the "America Tigers" fighting the "China
Dragons", our boys fought hard and demonstrated extreme honor, courage and
fierce determination in the face of adversity. We're all very proud of them. If
you ever have a second thought about fighting that tough-looking guy at the
local tourney, think for a moment of our "America Tigers" and do as they did:
step into the ring and fight with all your honor, courage and determination.
